Guido Vianello

— Professional Heavy Weight

I was born in Rome on 9 May 1994 from a family with a great sporting tradition.

The first sport I practiced was tennis, but one day in 2009 while I was going to train, I saw a gym. I became intrigued and saw some guys who were practicing boxing. It was a love at first sight. I did not wait a moment and put down the tennis bag I immediately put on the gloves.

So my first gym was the Team Boxing Roma XI. Then I moved to the Phoenix GYM in Pomezia, a city close to Rome with Simone D’Alessandri.

The great work done first with Italo and then with Simone allowed me to become part of the Sport Division of Italian Rangers (Guardia Forestale) in 2013 that become in 2017 part of Italian Police Force of the Carabinieri.

In my amateur career I got a lot of satisfaction before arriving at the dream of the Olympic qualification in Rio in 2016.

In 2010 I won the Italian Junior Championship, in Catania. The following year in 2011 I was the Italian youth vice champion and in 2012 I won the title.

In the same year I won the international youth tournament in Ukraine.
In 2013 I become Italian champion  while in July 2014 I was the  winner of the Golden Glove in Bergamo.

2014 saw me also winning two silver medals: at the European Union elite boxing championships in Sofia, and at the Ústí nad Labem international tournament.

In 2015 I’ve been part of the prestigious Italia Thunder team, involved in the World Series of Boxing and in 2016 he is silver medalist at the Ústí nad Labem international tournament.

In June 2016 I won the world tournament of Baku of super-heavy weight gaining access to the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, succeeding in the presences at the Olympic Games to Roberto Cammarelle who abandoned boxing in April 2016.

Another dream become true the 1st November of 2018 after signing with the hall of famer Bob Arum at Top Rank Promotions.
